Whats aspects of photography dont you like?

For me its when experiencing an event or something amazing happening before me I am not experiencing the true moment with my eyes but I am looking though a lens on my camera. And the results never suffice.

What dont you like?

People that come to this forum asking questions and not liking the answers they get - even though the answers are correct.

People that come here and try and solicit votes for junk competitions and pad votes for themselves.

People who think that because their friends or parents told them they take good pictures that they are good enough to be professional.

People who think that because they have an SLR/DSLR that they are professionals.

So, essentially the people who think they are great, but are really just posers.

All the teenybopper idiots asking how to do 'Color Splash'.

People who buy a DSLR then consider themselves to be a 'Pro'

People who work for free (like the idiots on this site who edit peoples images for free) and kill the industry little by little.

.

1)Even as an amateur I am offended when an idiot with an SLR thinks they're a pro. They need to learn their place, its more for their own good.

2) The bloody cost of everything. After paying for my first L lens, my wallet needs guy-wires to stop it from floating away. I think I've spent around £1200 (only!) on kit now and I've barely even got started. Need to replace my tripod next...its wonky which is another £100-150, plus pay for a shutter overhaul on a Leica which is an open ended cost. I know its not about the kit you have, and more about how you use it, but there is a minimum standard really.

3a) People who constantly go look at me, look at me! When they have little or no talent and are just taking snapshots. I know you need constructive criticism but its useless unless you've actually learnt the basics. Plus you can just read about it...its bloody everywhere, theres plenty of literature teaching you about photography!

3b) The idiots here who just say 'I love your work' or something like that and aimlessly praise rubbish. I'll admit that I'm no pro, or anywhere near the best, but I know my place.

Thank you for asking this question and allowing me to let some steam off.

1) People who ask for help with their camera but never tell what camera they own.

2) People who ask questions and never read the answers.

3) Snobs - those people who consider any camera other than a Nikon or Canon as inferior.

4) People who ask a question which is easily answered by a simple web search.

5) People who expect there to be some sort of "perfect setting" that will give excellent results under any and all conditions.

6) People who haven't read the Owner's Manual for their camera.

I hate that I lose a lot of photo's by the subject being out of focus. I cannot figure all that stuff out.

I agree with someone above that mentioned how anyone that has a "nice" camera thinks they can call themselves a pro.
