What dog breed would be best for me?

I am not interested in buying a dog but I just wanted to know what dog would be right for me.

I want a medium or big dog. It has to be gentle and good around kids. It has to be easy to train and groom and not active. Very laid back. It also has to be very connected with its owner but is friendly with strangers. I also want it to be able to protect its owner if it feels threatened. And last but not least, It has to be have a cute face. No bulldogs. lol
