What does your launcher look like?

On my cramped old treo 650 I have never used ZL, because it is just too bloated and I hardly ever go to the built in launcher either.
A combination of Hi-Launcher and pToolSet are perfect for me, launching apps card apps and DA's They are also very fast, and do not leave links in RAM.

The only thing that is a downside is that all DB's have to be in RAM. I can live with that.:)

Alex Pruss's FastLaunch is an excellent idea, but I cannot use it because I need Keycaps, and with that installed the only way to operate FL is two handed using option and holding a letter.

I guess in the end, we all settle for that which works best for us and does not conflict with other apps on our devices.

I am not shocked at all. Not everyone is A R and knows without thinking whether A-R does or does not have a hyphen. ;) (I do know, but I am not telling)

This screenshot is actually from an excellent japanese launcher called AppShelf. IMO, it's much better than any other 3rd party launcher available including the overrated Zlauncher.

The think column is called the MiniPad. You cannot resize it, but you can position it in one of the 4 sides of the screen. You can customize its colors independently of the main launcher. Placing application shortcuts in it is as simple as drag-n-drop.

I'm gonna post more screenshots and a short review related to AppShelf in the Software Reviews thread soon.

I am using ZL 5.43bl and it works fine with the 755P. My understanding is that some folks had problems with 5. 44 when the 755P first came out so I stayed with the version I had which has worked fine for several months.

I think I'd like it, as well. If it would work on my T3! ;)

Seriously, I recall some time back (OK - a long time back, when the T3 was still the "current" top-end model) a utility or app that would do this on the T3, but I've been unable to find it... This xPhone theme would be so much sleeker if I could get rid of the white border!

Any other grand ideas out there? :D

Hee Hee! Just a blank "Tab" for when I need a little pick me up. :D

ETA: I'm using the iTreo ZLauncher Skin (thanks sjweise!!). I felt the black background was just PERFECT for my smiley guys! :D

Anybody have a link to the free theme Z launcher making software. It would allow you to preview an image before you transfer it to the palm for background image.

I like to sort al mine into categories also!

Now, I usually do keep my pda on ALL because its easier to just swipe the first letter to find the app than switch tabs and then find it. I use the games tab the most when my daughter borrows the T3. I wanna redo my tabs but it has not bothered me enough to warrant the time (yet). I also like to look at all the pretty replacement icons I have for each app...it took time to put it all together. I'm entitled to enjoy my work!;)

some of my pics come up with the error: "Memory: out of space. (Mem 0102)"

Yet I have a T5 with 10mb free on internal, 94mb free on internal drive, and 127mb on SD. and a 400mHz processor.
Ok, i overstated my point.
It's obviously not out of memory, so whats wrong? I have "JpegLib" installed.

I checked and yes, it's a similar product, but far more sophisticated. Too bad, I purchased TealInfo many years ago, back when content was added often. It's now pretty much abandonware :(

The whole reason that I set up a launcher (ZLauncher) is for the Tabs. I always use my tabs and in the default launcher, I was annoyed that if I wanted apps on my card, I couldn't categorize them where they fit.

My tabs are: (and I don't hide any of them)

All
Communication: (Avantgo, VersaMail, BT)
Games:
Main: Usually ROM type progs that I have linked elsewhere
Multimedia: (music programs, media, cam (Zire 72))
System: system apps like prefs and the keyboard control (also put my "adult" progs here to keep away from prying eyes
Unfiled: usually kept empty, unless I'm checking it out and good chance of deleting it
