What does your launcher look like?

Hmm, something dark and fuzzy in me likes it...:D

Which reminds me of the man-Kzin wars actually...particularly the cathouse story. Why didn't he indulge (Locklear that is...)?
 
Well officiallly the * is required and is still there in the actual filename. If you look at the files in RAM using a file manager you will see. What ZLauncher apparently does is to create an entry in one of it's files (probably ZLauncherDB) to mask or alias the filename in the presentation layer so that it is displayed differently.

This is the first and only theme that's been on my Treo and I just kept forgetting to take the pick. I'm just a silly nilly sometimes! :D :newpalm:
 
It was stripped down to the basic icons for those peeps with low-res, greyscale handhelds. It made for a very unique and fun launcher at the time. Not that it wouldn't now.. but handhelds of that nature are not nearly as prevalent now days...
 
Okay.

IdeaPad - is a flowchart tool.

NR Deluxe - is the remote control software.

upIRC - is an IRC client (http://www.smittyware.com/palm/upirc/)

SoundRec - is another sound recording app I put onto my t|x for when I break my warranty and decide to do the mic mod, just to see which will sound better.

And finally, the grayhide theme is from Velo. (http://velo.hopto.org/) ... Under the MISC section, there's Grayhide and Redhide, both equally good.

And if you want to do the whole shebangabang, there's also DIA skins, and a P-Tunes skin ... (http://www.freewarepalm.com/utilities/grayhidediaskin.shtml) and (http://www.pocket-tunes.com/skins/graphic/grayhide.shtml) respectively.
 
well mine is zlauncher with the built-in theme as i havnt got round to making my own skin yet (or even finding out what app to use to do it!) i use two different modes tho, the one on the left for portrait mode (duh) and the right obviously for landscape. I have the icons nice and small in the "all" tab so i dont have to scroll too much, but in all the other tabs i have them big so nice and easy on the eyes.

Good for you, DH. And now the screaming starts. And the sleepless nights and the endless tappings and the repetitive strain injuries and the I-wonder-what-it-would-look-like-this's... ;)
 
Also what version of Zlauncher are you useing? I know with V4 (which I am still using) you needed to load a specific library in order to enable background images. Although I could find the images under Zlauncher's Theme manager and it sounds like you can not even find them on the palm. :(
 
So am I the only Palmist (as it were) who just users Hi-Launcher and customises the Palm interface with Khroma (for colours) and Fonts4OS5 for the text (i.e. no ZLauncher or similar)?
