The global plugin panel transparency is in the plugin setup panel on a button called "Pattern" in 5.10b2. In older versions, it's under the ZLPluginToday Pref panel for the Today display.

Okay, I've been fiddling with the iTreo skin, more to do, but here is what I have so far:

I also decided to design a new keyboard for it. I went for very simple black and white with some very lightly shaded keys. I may make some other refinements before I'm done, like using a different typeface more resembling the typeface on the iPhone/ Touch keyboards.

ZLauncer, with OSMac3 theme. I did get it from www.palmspirit.com, although I just checked and it may be that that site is dead. I prefer it clean, which is why I have the top bar usually hidden. With the top bar it looks as below. The background came standard with my TX I think, and fonts are done with Fontsmoother.

DBH, all I did was saved your images posted earlier to my desktop, opened them with mspaint and saved them agin as a new file. The filesize dropped from 23Kb to 6Kb. Its working fine on my now, I don't get the error messages anymore.
