What does this girl mean? How do I figure her out?

I'm in love with my best friend. She is the best friend I've ever had, and she says I'm the best friend she's ever had. I'm am absolutely in love with her. Everything about her makes me happy, and I would die to protect her. I told her that I had a sort of crush on her, but she told me she didn't feel the same way. I was completely crushed. Then she started dropping me little hints that she liked me, and I got really confused, but she kept reassuring me that she didn't feel that way about me. So then the other day, she randomly texts me saying that she really does like me a lot, as more than a friend. I was so excited. Now she tells me that she doesn't know who she likes, and if she likes me or not, and she is really confused. She says I just need to give her time to get her mind together, and that she will come around. She also said that I shouldn't wait around for her though, and that if I find someone else I should go for it. But there won't be anyone else. I am in love with her, and I am so confused by all her mixed signals. I don't know what to do! How do I help her fall in love with me, or realize that she already has?
