This question is directed to those who have lived or been to Japan.
I'm fascinated with Japan ever since i've been there. I have noticed that men look a lot more androgynous in their overall style and clothing than in the U.S. I'm curious if, in regards to this, what the prevalent japanese view on homosexuality you have seen is. Is homophobia as prevalent as it is in the U.S.? I have thought some major reasons for homophobia in the U.S. is because of american christianity and the amount of emphasis we put on masculinity here. I'm curious since the majority of Japanese are not christian, and don't think that being a man is about being the aggressive tough alpha male like many americans do here.
