One of my friends said he was put in jail for several months after being arrested for breaking into his own residence (sounds like a family issue which they in turn wanted him arrested) He said during the "pre trial" period he was placed in jail for 80 days, and then when a court date was assigned and he had the charges clear everything was fine. Is jail time normal?
