What does Olive Garden pay a Host In California?

I had an interview on Wednesday; and at the end of the interview he told me that he wanted to hire me and would call me at the beginning of next week. I was wondering how much they pay host's in California? Thanks.
 
Whatever minumum wage is in California, and you will not receive tips from the waitstaff. Red Lobster and Olive Garden are owned by the same company and neither of those restaurants require the servers to tip out, which is great for the servers, because they get to keep the money they earned, but not so good for the hosts.
 
Minimum wage plus tip outs from the waiters and waitresses. So... not too much. (I don't know what minimum wage is these days, $8/hr? $8.50?) The main hope as a host is to become a waiter or waitress because you keep the majority of your tips.

Ediit: Also, if you don't hear back from him by Wednesday call him as a follow-up.
