What does Marge mean by 'forensics'?

In the Simpsons episode where the TV breaks and Marge and Homer tell the kids about their failed prom date, Marge says she has a 'forensics' meeting to go to.
I always thought forensics was like on CSI, but that doesn't fit here.
Does it have another meaning? It just looked like she was at the debating club again the next day.

i can only think of it meaning ,if theres a crime they get forensics to find any clues
