What does it take to become a military dolphin and sea lion trainer? major?...

...military or civilian? Can't find anything online! Does the job entail traveling with the dolphin on the ship? Do I need a scuba certificate? So lost and I think this may be my future career, please help out if you know!
 
For the Navy's mammal program, the trainers are all civilian. By the time the mammals hit the fleet they are ready to deploy. The enlisted guys in the Navy are just their "handlers" and not trainers.

If you want to be a trainer, check SPAWAR. Its a civilian corporation that does most of the mammal training.
