what does it mean when your car anit lock brake light comes on, when your driving?

Whenever I go over large bump on the road, the anti lock brake will pop on, what does this mean, have a oldsmobile intrigue, is it serious? About how much would it cost to get it fixed?

you may have a bad connection at the sensors or they may have to be replace,

It could mean different things. One it could mean that you anti lock brake is broke. Or it could mean that you need to change ur breaks because they are worn (<-- that happened to me).
