what does it mean when a guinea pig whines like hes in pain?

i know the happy squeel and what it sounds like but it looks like the guinea pig has an eye infection and it is whining like its in pain
 
This sounds like a problem that a Veterinarian should address- not people on Yahoo Answers who may or may not know what they're talking about. Take your guinea pig to the Vet, if it is an eye infection, he could lose his eye.
 
Guinea Pigs whine all the time ... like little weird cars , happy , sad , in pain they do it all the time. An eye infection would be more of a discomfort than actual pain. They get straw and dust in their eyes all the time due to being so close to the ground and it will probably work itself out ... but take it too a vets just in case! Better safe than sorry!
 
most likely it is in pain. i suggest you get him checked out by a vet. a happy squeal would be more of a weet weet in stead of a WEETTT! a sharp noise of some sort.
