The other day my dad got a so-called "courtesy call" from the police department saying that people in my house were engaging in "illegal activity" i.e. smoking weed. My dad then told me that if we continued, there would be consequences. So if you get a courtesy call, and the police are alerted once again that people in the house are smoking weed, then is that probable cause for the police to search your home? In other words, if the neighbors or someone in my neighborhood reported us to the police again, then would they be able to search the home?
