I have biology summer work and one of the questions asked me to use the internet to define and give an example of an IRM. The problem is IRM could mean so many different things and so does anyone what it might stand for.

It can stand for a lot of different things in biology. interference reflection microscopy could be one option, but it could also stand for insect resistance management. It really depends on the context. If the context is not clear from the specific question look what the preceding questions are talking about. there might also a definition given in an earlier paragraph.
