What does "go go gadget penis" mean?

I was talking to this guy on msn, and he was telling me this funny story, only i had no idea why it was funny because I didnt get the punch line :s Please help !
 
Ummm, seriously...? Ok well that is an amazing line I must say for one... I guess I'll answer this seriously... just look up detective gadget. It's an older carton show that has to do with a family*kinda* that fights evil and the dad is pretty much robotic... Still human but had all kinds of crazy gadgets that make up him like a helicopter that comes out off his hat or rocket powered roller skates that come out of his shoes.

"Go go gadget" is his catchline pretty much.. He says it right before he uses a gadget... for example "go go gadget helicopter"... Sooo hopefully now you can understand the joke better...? :)
 
There was a cartoon tv series in the late 80s (derived from a children's story book series) called "Inspector gadget", about a detective who could make mechanical things appear from his body, such as a portable helicopter, or extendable arms, or a toaster and lots of other things. He would say "Go Go Gadget (insert word here)" to make his various mechanical items activate.

This guy on msn has made the logical conceptual leap of imagining an extendable "gadget" penis, as did so many schoolchildren at at the time.
