What does business casual dressing mean for a male?

I have work starting from tomorrow & and the dress code is business casual. I have a couple of dress pants & 4-5 shirts. I also have a few golf shirts as well (American Eagle). I think it is supposed to mean no jeans. But I'm not so sure.
 
You should probably wear suit pants, a dress shirt, and a suit jacket that can be removed if it's too formal. There's probably no need for a tie. You best bet is to be too formal rather than too casual, and then adjust your wardrobe after you've seen what your coworkers are wearing.
