I have an ipod touch 2g that i droppedd in water and now the screen doesn't work. By some act of god the little stip in the headphone jack didnt turn pink. it just stayed white. Im talked to representative and told them that It just didnt work one day. We found out the insides work and just the screen is probably broken. Also i did NOT tell them it was water damaged. Im going to the genius bar tommarow and am going to se if they will replace it. I heard all they do is look at the headphone strip and ok it for replacment. Will they also look at the one in the dock? aka do they open up the ipod? Also this ipod is still under warrenty. Can i just waltze on in, show them the white strip and what out with a replacement or will they check inside and i get busted?
