My brother in law pleaded guilty to 'false info to a criminal investigator'
It was a misdemeanor.
He was ordered to pay a $100 fine and the judge said '12 months suspended jail time'
He paid the fines and left... but I don't really understand what '12 months suspended jail time' means? Can someone explain it to me? Sorry for my ignorance but I know nothing about how the legal system works... I haven't gotten the chance to ask him, I went through my sister and she doesn't know either lol.
