Here is what I observe, actually see happening.

The president of France wants to define what behaviour is exceptable in France. He wants to limit what is allowed.

Do you want to extend that principle? Shall we say: it is not reasonable to get drunk? Shall we say certain authors are not allowed? Shall we ban certain films? Should Sarkosy annex sections of society which are not French, and exile them?

There is no Muslim race.

The only reason France wants to ban the burkha is because is because it's not "French"; in the sense that, it's not "free". France is too proud of their country's history. It needs to realize freedom also grants people the right to choose not have freedom.
