what do you use a 500mm mirrored lens for in photography?

hello all,
i have a Promaster Spectrum 7 500mm lens i bought with a few other lenses for my minolta maxxum 7000. i havent figured out what to use the mirrored lens for. please help so i can use its full potential
 
Well sense its a fixed focal length lens you will have to use it for things like taking pictures of things far away. Like maybe the moon, sporting events from high in the stands, people in the distance, anything far away. You will have to do the human zoom of you want things to be closer or further away though.

Do yourself a favor though and trade all that stuff in for a Canon or a Nikon!!
