What do you understand by the word 'film' on a DVD cover?

I recently bought what purported to be a 'film' for

What was the title ?

I think it's more than a little naieve to buy a DVD without actually knowing what you're buying.

A film can be any length and yes documentaries can also be films. Best to always check if there is a duration on the back.

Short films are made all the time...so the word 'film' in itself doesn't imply to me a minimum length above 26 mins or any minimum really...and 'documentary films' are a type of of film.

Film, motion pictures, movies. An art form whereby you record an image from the world or create an image by animation and are able to play them back.

Surely the worRAB 'short film' or 'documentary' would have been a more honest description.

Had it said that I would have been alerted to look at the running time.

If I'm buying something I'm not sure about I usually take a look on Amazon or somewhere (even if I'm not intending to buy it from there) and take a look at the reviews. They would say if there was anything misleading usually.
