T12

Hi,

Aboout two years ago, I ruptured my T12/L1 I have no idea how I did it. I have always had back pain from scoleris so until I was put down from ignoring best I could I had no idea. I ended up quiting my job and have been in a drug dark depressing hole the last two years because of pain. My pain has recently been pumped up a bit, I have a hand that will go completely cold, tingling in my arm, and legs ( hate that). My pain that comes aound both sides has increased and my left leg has gotten weaker. I have been getting headaches 4-5 times a week and migranes once a week.

So they ran another mri, the last one I has was in 2009. The findings are as follows. T12/L1 Moderate paracentral disc extrusion measures 8X7X9mm. It causes focal concavity of the anterior thecal sac and mld centeral narrowing overall. This also causes a mass effect on the cord which is desplaced right to left 3-4 mm

The conus terminates at L2. Visulaized portions of the cord demonstarte normal signal intensity. Along s2 nerve there is a perineural cyst noted, only seen on the sagittal images.

L/4/5 and l5/S1 disc bulging without high grade stenosis
Multi level facet arthropathy, sot significate involving L5/L1
Prominent regional marrow cellularity. This may be normal variant, the result of chronic hypoxia or anemia. Findings look stable from last exam therefor unlikelt to be neoplastic on etiology.

the reasons I am slightly freaked is no surgeon nor myself wanted to do surgery...they sent my MRI to a surgeon again who called today and said I has some decsions to make. Basically I am going the wrong direction. My disc extrusion in 2009 was slightly touching the cors and now is larger ans 50% of the spinal canal is blocked created an hour glass.

Akso this cyst, marrow fat, schmorls nodes where not in the last mri...I had many bulging disc on top of the T12 but never any of these other things.

Any comments would be deeply appreciated.
