Make the block 4-5 hours

Show anime on weekend nights

Here's a list of shows and movies that they could add

What do you think they should fix or add to Ani-Monday?

How about not edit out important epilogues from shows such as Gundam 00 or not crunching end themes, especially since they have nice animation and music.

As much as I'd like to see One Piece on television again, I'd rather it not be at the expense of being chopped up to hell on Sci-Fi. I especially shudder at how all the emotional scenes and flasrabroadacks would be handled.

Yep. They need flexibility. It makes zero sense to air an uncut opening and yet cut epilogues when in some cases, they contain material that you do not see in the next episode.

Instead they just seem to cut everything the same way no matter what, which is really rather lazy.

A third hour would be awesome.

They also need another good series once Rave Master is finally off of the air. It'd be great if rumors of Ergo Proxy or Black Jack came true. It doesn't really matter, it just neeRAB to be something interesting.

I don't like how they dump from the show into a commercial without any kind of "we'll be right back" style bump or something to alert you the show is leaving and coming back, that would be kind of cool to have. I also think not airing back to back episodes of Gundam would be better for variety purposes, the block is only 2 hours and it would be better if it was 4 different shows packed within that timeframe.

No argument there. But ... if Toei and Funimation could make it a contractual requirement to show One Piece in one piece, and if Sci-Fi wanted the show enough, who knows?

Come to think of it, airing Trust and Betrayal would be an amazing idea at a minimum, even if they don't bother with the series.

And as long as we're talking samurai, Sword of the Stranger is the perfect Ani-Monday movie.

more shows

the edits are annoying.... but once Gundam 00 season 2 leaves..... they've got nothing but Rave Master *which i still think was a mistake for Manga to get for it*

I don't like the fact that they air back to back Gundam's, they should have 4 different shows airing in the 2 hour time period they have. Also, any chance of them ever airing Gurren Lagaan again or maybe picking up Shippuden or the new Fullmetal Alchemist?

I think back to back 00 was probably negotiated because the last Gundam to air in the US (SEED) was criticised for awful pacing at one drawn out episode a week. 00 is much better paced, but BEI probably took the criticism on board and thought 2 episodes a week would keep interest much more easily.

I Can See Them airing Reruns of Older Gundam series once 00 enRAB. I personally would love to see Wing or Ggundam on TV again. & of course they could show Manga 0r Bandai titles that have yet to air on TV. Like the english Dub of My-hime, Silent Mobius or Some of the gundam movies. Mabye even Re-air Eureka Seven. sort of to promote the DVRAB for older series.

& Who Knows mabye Eventually Viz & Funi will jump on the sci-fi band wagon as well. If that happend i could see Sci-fi airing at least 1 hour of anime a night (monday-friday that is.)

I would'nt mind seeing Wing or G on SciFi. Or maybe they can get Zeta.

Speaking of which, I wonder if SciFi could get some of the shows that used to be shown on TechTV as well. Crest/Banner of the Star, Silent Mobius, or heck even Betterman would be interesting additions.

That might be a viable theory... The thing is though, is that they've shown 2 episodes a week for all their shows from the very beginning.

Be different from Toonami, and don't be like Adult Swim.

And though I know the network formerly known as Sci-Fi is all demographic-obsessed now, I think making Ani-Monday a bit more of a cultural thing rather than just another block of anime would be fun, but...it'd scare non-otaku away.
