As hard as she tried, Sienna couldn't help but glance across the table at Christian and Veronica. They seemed so happy, it was enough to make her sick. "Veronica darling," Christian said reaching out his fork. "Here, try some of this, its marvelous." Veronica took a bit of his fork and widened her eyes in satisfaction. "Oh my, thats wonderful! What is it called-?" "Its chicken!" Sienna called from across the table in a exasperated voice as if it was the most obvious thing. Christian glared at her. "Thank you, Sienna." Sienna smiled in fake politeness. "You're welcome Christian," she said in an all too unctuous voice. She couldn't stand to watch Christian and Veronica act so in love with each other while her and Darien were anything but that. It was time for desperate measures.
