Grabbing it and dangling it from a thread,
We view mankind as a holiday.
Aside from all the things we've shed,
We choose to welcome the tainted arrow.

The tar wept, covering the cracks
Along the streets drenched in hope.
He lost his footing along the way
And faced nothing but his own reflection.

At the end of the rocky cliff,
The gully awaited a friendly ship.
But there was nothing in this one;
Only a silence, who needs no lips.
