I'm a writer, usually a pretty good writer. I came up with this plot today. I know it's pretty cliche, but do you think it's bad or good? I usually write darker stuff, and I might want to expand on this idea, as it's different from my usual style:
Plot Idea:
Couple about to get married in NYC
Go for DNA testing (for illnesses and stuff)
It is discovered that they are brother and sister
However, upon revisiting the office where the testing was done, it turns out they are not related, however, the soon-to-be bride has a brother she never knew roaming around NYC
The story centers around her search for her brother, so that he may attend her wedding.
Her increasing obsession with finding him creates stress in her relationship with her fiancee.
