I am taking a shot at writing a romance, and I have a rough plot:
In grade school boy and girl are best friends
on girls birthday boy tells girl her present is under her pillow
girl sees boy get taken by police for killing his abusive father
girl is scared, mad and sad
police take boy
girl goes home to find present has a note in it saying boy loves her
girl never sees boy again
four years later boy is let out of juvy cus hes eighteen
girl has had a socially successful high school career
friends, grades, a boyfriend she thinks she loves
boy transfers to girls school senior year
boy pretends not to notice girl and is rude to her when she tries to talk to him
girl gets pissed but cant stop thinking about him
boy shows up at girls house one night
explains that police forbid him from interacting with girl because of father incident
girl falls in love with boy
girl is caught between boy and her boyfriend
boy and girl fall in love and meet secretly
girl finds out that boy did not actually kill his father and he was framed
i havnt figured out an ending quite yet..
what do you think?
what about the person who framed him had threatened to harm girl if boy talks
