I have to write a ballad for my creative writing. I just want an honest opinion and what can I do to improve it:
The Ballad of Tiger Woods
Come sit by my side a story I’ll tell
A story known through all the town
A story of a man who played the game
The best by far around
He captured our hearts with his skills
His race that made us baffler
But still he won the game
In the eyes of the tiger
He conquered the tournaments
And Wealth he did yearn.
With his grace and incredible style
And soon Tiger was rolling
With Green Jackets he did earn
He climbed up the mountain
And came back down
Endorsements he did earn.
And never when you saw tiger ever see him frown.
‘Twas early one morning In November
And Tiger did feel sad.
When his took a crash in his SUV.
And soon did he feel bad.
And while wife saved him from his accident
His problem’s they did grow.
He wouldn’t play in the tournament.
Still Elin didn’t know.
And tiger grew wild and mad.
For love that he did wage.
But Tiger was it worth it,
To keep an animal its cage?
Like a bird set free
The endorsements they did fly
And Tiger was soon swallowed
By his little white lie
Now Tiger is sorry for what he has done.
His mamma filled with love.
But Tiger will get off so easy
With the Lord, your God above?
