They seem to have a lot of "evidence," on global cooling. Just like they seem to have a lot of "evidence," on Global warming.

Global cooling probably faded away because politicians and the media didn't get enough hype from it. However, on their second try, they probably knew how to execute their horror-fantasy stories better.
 
Global cooling is a real possibility and was the the word in the media in the 70's. Truth be told no one really knows for sure if warming or cooling is happening, it more likely a earth cycle. The push for global warming theory has gained speed so we will do a little house cleaning on the earth.
