When I first started writing the story, I actually made the main character be the classic main character, everything happened to them, they had love, they were the different one but after a while I hated the idea of that so she is basically the opposite of that.
First Chapter:
"I hate battle days." I muttered, passing the teacher as me and my best friend left to go change out of our battle clothes. "I know it helps practice our powers, but it's annoying going out there. So loud and...just ugh." I sat down on the blue bench and leaned my head against the lockers.
"I know, Layne, but look on the bright side, your getting stronger, and the teacher did say you were the best person in our class out in the battle field." May said, she pulled her long blonde hair out of it's ponytail.
"Only because I want to get the heck out of there, I try my hardest just to leave. I should be like you and hide behind a rock until someone else goes out and fights." I laughed and she turned around and shot the pony tail at me.
"Funny, I remember you hiding all the time during your first year." She leaned against the locker next to hers.
"It was my first year, what can I say? I was just hoping nothing good enough happened to tell my parents, they think I'm in Africa." I unzipped the black jacket and laid it next to me.
"Hm. I bet you'd rather be in Africa then be here in the battle field." She turned around and took her white jacket off that was caked with dirt and threw it in the locker. "Oh we have it again tomorrow, have fun with that, I'm getting excused."
"For what?" I asked, I opened my locker and hung my jacket up on the first hook I saw, I looked in the mirror and scrunched up my nose. I had dirt all over my face. "May, can you help?"
"Dentist. You know we too have to get a check up, even if we are special." She said as she walked towards me and held out her right hand in front of my face, a small burst of water hit my face, she put her hand down and I grabbed a towel from the top shelf in my locker and scrubbed the dirt off.
"Oh, blah." I said, I kicked off my black and yellow sneakers. "I hate going to the dentist. I hate the battle field but mostly, I hate where I'm going next."
"That's right, your mom is dropping your sister off today." May laughed and pulled off her light blue tank top and white pants.
"Yeah, I'll hide until she leaves, my sister though, I have to help her chose her next power. Though it is Megan, she'll probably get special treatment." I sighed and changed out of my battle clothes and into the school uniform. We were quiet until we left.
"I've never met Megan, maybe I'll go with you." May said.
I sighed. "You'll probably love her. She's gorgeous and apparently has the best personality ever. The sister you wish you had." I sighed once more. "Ugh, I just hate her! She always gets what she wants, and you know what? She's just plain annoying." I opened the doors and walked outside, May followed me over to a bench that we sat on until a pink slug bug drived up, it parked and my sister got out of the driver's side. "She even got a car."
My sister was the picture perfect girl, apparently. She had red curly hair that she never got dyed or permed or even had to use a curling iron or flat iron on. She didn't have to buy gel or hair spray either, it just fell the way she wanted it to. And the way it fell was just annoying. She had green eyes and pale skin. She looked exactly like me, except I had blue eyes and dark brown hair.
She walked up to me. "Sissy!" She smiled, I rolled my eyes.
"Let's go get you some more special treatment." I muttered.
I'm only fourteen so I know I can't write the best and it's still under construction.
Actually I haven't written very much of it, but when I finish it I'll start posting it on deviantart under it's own profile.
