“Solitude”

Snowflakes scatter on the meadow;
a black raven soars through pastel blue,
like a speck adrift in an endless haze,
to Earth’s soil, embraced in flecks of snow.

Feet scurry across a scarlet leaf bed,
piled across a patch of wilted flowers.
I watch as a golden maple drizzles
into the midst of entwining red.

Leaves are carried in the breeze
onto an empty coffee bench,
concealed by cherry branches
and dipping frosty trees.

The meadow’s wind settles;
a periwinkle stands tall;
lavender blinds my eyes
among golden brown petals.

A silhouette lies nearby,
dreams are interwoven
into a plum, fuschia quilt
blanketed across the sky.

I am nestled beneath a pecan tree.
My fingers brush the guitar strings;
I hum to emptiness in the meadow.
My world can breathe, I’ve set it free.

I am open to any suggestions!

The last sentence almost made me cry... That was rich with colorful vocabulary! You have a true passion for poetry! I loved this one too!
