what do you think of a mass media headline "health industry report says reform

jesswzmn

New member
will raise costs to consumers"? lol

is this sort of reporting...news...or the spreading of a concerted propaganda effort like its news?

I mean...if the report is paid for by the health industry and is basically saying...that we should not reform the system and that doom and gloom will follow if we reform, should we believe it???

would any intelligent clear thinking person or newsreporter report this like its "news"?

Lets see if the liberal is able to think

They say about 40 million people dont have health insurance.... (bs number but ill run with it)

The new law will cost 900 billion (also bs number but again.... ill run with it)
And it will cover all BUT about 25 million.....

so..... plz tell me whats the point besides to waste $900 billion when allegedly EVERYONE will be covered as Obama said (lied..... AGAIN)

I guess its the same as the government propaganda that's reported as news. Who do you think pays for the government lies?

I just wonder how much they spent on that bit of propaganda ? Pay me a million dollars and I'll write you up a study that will say anything you want....It's officially titled " lobbying "..

News is that we know how to cut waste, but we are not going to do it until you vote for our bill.
Then we will tell you how.

And you actually believe the politicians, political appointees and government bureaucrats more ?

Hey convict -- The lie is in the claimed benefits and costs of the government plan. Everyone agrees health care can be improved, but this just isn't the answer. And yes, the feds will make stuff up to get their way, increase their influence in your life and play with other people's money (or as is currently done, increase the citizens' debt astronomically on their behalf)

If this was a Republican reform bill, you'd say "THIS PROVES THAT REFORM WILL DRIVE UP COSTS TO CONSUMERS!!! BUT DO THE REPUBLICANS LISTEN??? NO!!!! THEY JUST DON'T CARE ABOUT THE PEOPLE!!! THY HOPE AND CHEER FOR AMERICA TO FAIL."

But when it's a Democrat reform bill, you just say "AWWWW, THEY'RE SUCH LIARS!!! WHY DO THEY DISS THE PRESIDENT LIKE THIS!! AWWW WHAT LIARS!! THEY MUST BE RACIST."

Your partisan bias is laughable.

It makes me think this:

If disregarding pre-conditions and current insurance status
will lead to increased premiums. Then why do insurers offer plans to companies that disregard pre-conditions and current insurance status to their employees at a significant discount to individuals seeking coverage on the open market?

There could only be two reasons: A) the increased pool of people insured off-sets the costs of those who have a pre-condition OR B) the insurance company designed a plan that increases the cost of care knowingly to induce higher profits...

The theory of large numbers tells you the answer is A...guess what theory most closesly identifies with the insurance industry?

If they're actually being honest with the public, isn't this information you want? Or do you just assume the government bureaucracy is telling you the truth and all other opinions are motivated by profit? Silly you if you discount all voices with differing perspectives.
