what do you think of 2006 toyota rav4 with 13156 miles? ?

Hi I am looking to buy a car a toyota rav4 a 2005 and higher and i stumbled upon this rav4 Limited which is 2006 and has 13156 miles and the dealer is asking for 16995$. According to dealer, the car has not been in any accidents. Or a 2001 rav4 Limited with 42000 miles. The owner is asking 11500. What do you think?
 
if i were you i would go with the 2006 because it has less miles and its 5 years newer... spend the extra 5K for it
 
Do Carfax checks on the Ravs your considering, get the "vin numbers" and go over the reviews. Look at "Consumers Guide" for "guidance" as to the history of what can be expected of the car depending on the year. You might want an opinion by a certified automotive mechanic. Good luck!
