well.. i think if congress doesn't bail them out then they will fail, and thousands of people will loose their jobs. if they govt. does bail them out then they will continue on their wasteful ways.. i think the best thing for them to do is merge. Merge them all into one big company and lay off some of the redundant work force and consolidate. they can sell off some of their extra factories to get extra cash, or offer the govt. a percentage for a stake in the new mega company.
