What do you think about today's youth culture? (hip hop/rap)?

your opinion or perspective about it. How we dress, what we listen too, slang and how we carry ourselves.

Oh come on! Every answer to this question is going to be the same. Try to find one comment that doesn't say, "Today's hip-hop sucks. Old school is so much better. People talk and dress like bums because they're trying to copy everything they see on MTV. Lil wayne is killing hip-hop." Hip-hop fans whine way too much.

Now the truth is that rappers do have a negative influence on society, but so do rockers, R&B singers, emo bands, pop divas, and basically everything that people actually listen to. That's not really the point though.

If strip clubs stay open, artists will sing about it. If drugs keep getting sold, artists will keep singing about it. Many rappers came from the gutter. They see the worst part of our society, so it's no wonder that they end up singing about bad things. Hip-hop culture sucks, but it's the culture that's affecting music, not the music affecting the culture.

I think it's very played out and unoriginal

The style is so fake and uncreative either rappers now are dressing like rock stars or dressing like fags in general. Back in the day hip hop style was trend setting. The rope chain, the adidas suit, the throwback jersey, Starter jackets, hell even korn were wearing adidas track suits back in the day because they said they were influenced by rap, now all you have are dumb rhinestone chains which are fake anyway.

What people listen to are the same looped message in every song, nothing is diverse anymore, everything sounds the same. Not every person is partying in the world.

The slang is still there though.

This is just my opinion.
