What do you make of Ohio congressman Dennis Kucinich saying Cap and Trade

is bad for the environment? http://www.opednews.com/articles/Kucinich--Passing-a-weak-by-Dennis-Kucinich-090626-786.html
I meant bad for the environment as in it prolongs current practices even longer.
I oppose cap and trade for other reasons but here you have a democrat saying the bill won't really do what everybody that favors it thinks it will.

Less than what I think of Texas Congressman Chet Edwards (D 17th Dist), who thinks it is bad legislation that his party is trying to push onto an already bad economy and voted against it.

Just what this country needs more of, Moderate Democrats, who don't buy into the ultra-liberal garbage!

Go Chet!

It pains me when I have to agree with someone like Kucinich, but about this, I do.

The single most important environment Americans can save for our children is our freedom from oppressive government. Sadly, many of our young are too indoctrinated with this whole global warming thing to realize it right now.

He thinks it is worthless because it doesn't go far enough. It just illustrates Obama's desire to pass any bill so they can start raising revenue. That's what this is all about.

The Cap and Trade bill won't do anything for global warming because the earth isn't warming. Notice how they now call it Climate Change.

What the bill will do is add taxes to everyone and increase the costs of products for everyone. Whatever happened to Obama's promise of I will not raise taxes of any kind for people making less than 250K?

Cap & Trade is wrong and was proven not to work in Spain. So why are we trying to go with another failed philosophy?

He's right in that the bill is too weak. Nevertheless, look at the opposition that even this weak bill is garnering from conservatives and Republicans. Kucinich cannot realistically expect that a stronger bill would actually pass the House and the Senate and get signed into law.
