i think a lot more people are getting into the nerdy/geeky technology side of things because its becoming more and more popular and also a way of life. back in the 80s setting the clock on your VCR was a pain in the *** and most people avoided it. but now, you have computers and technology everywhere, so you are forced to become a "geek" just to survive :)
