What do you guys think between a four wheeler or a dirt bike?

Okay I have had both a dirt bike and a four wheeler. I had a dirt bike for about 4 years. I sold it and then bought a four wheeler. The dirt bike was a 2004 Kawasaki KLX 125. I bought it brand new. I was 12 years old. Now at 16 I own a 2005 Yamaha Banshee. I am selling it because it is to high maintenance for a 16 year old who just wants to go out and ride every weekend or so. The two only reasons I didn't like the dirt bike was because of trying to go through sand (it didn't have enough power to push through the sand) and because it felt squirrely when I would go off of a jump or going fast through the sand at times (It would jerk me around). I don't like the four wheeler just really cause everything costs a lot more and its a 2-stroke. If I get the dirt bike, I didn't know whether I would eventually get out of the stage where I think the dirt bike is squirrely in the sand. If I just practiced at it would I get better at going off jumps and riding fast through the sand. Thank you to all who answer. I WILL GIVE BEST ANSWER!!! P.S. The dirt bike that I will get will be a 250 4-stroke no bigger of a bike and no smaller. The four wheeler that I will get will probably be a 450 or a 700 raptor.
