When you are stressed out to the breaking point, what do you find is the best way to calm yourself down?

I find late night driving very relaxing, and I like to hit things.
 
Wow. I find driving alone to be one of the greatest relaxation methods ever. Also listening to music. I usually pop in one of my favorite CDs, light up a Camel Light, and drive around town if im pissed off or stressed.

Well, except for the cigarettes now, I've quit. For now.
 
Damn right, hats off to late-night (or whenever, really, but late-night is just ...different) smoke-driving with cranked tunes. :D
 
When my stress level gets too high, I put on The Prodigy or NIN and run seven or eight miles. Sometimes more. Sometimes I box instead - but I don't have a gym with a punching bag anymore. The idea is to completely exhaust yourself until you don't feel stressed anymore.

I used to drink until I relaxed - but apparently it's bad for you...?
Plus getting drunk makes me want to smoke.
 
i like to sit down and think, for hours.....

or not to think at all just sitting staring at the sealing or at the sky, something goes in your mind anyway even if you try not to think of anything. Really sways away the problems and stuff.
 
List of things I do:

Late night driving
Punching anything in sight (walls, doors, annoying people, etc.)
Bench pressing (When I get mad, I don't get tired, no matter how many reps I do)
Video games (shooting games are good for anger relief)
Walking/Running (especially at night. it's coldest at night)
Practicing my shooting with my rifle
 
i hit stuff ... usually it was a door but i punched that in not long ago so i gotta find something else :) dnt want mum to find it broken again ... i also listen to music, or like someone said - think. sometimes thinking makes the situation worse, sometimes it gives you a couple of hours break.
 
Driving in general. Actually riding the motorcycle and being vicious on the throttle has some good medicine to it. (Why do you think we like loud pipes? Because we're fucking pissed off and want to share it.)

Boxing. Beating the ever living shit out of something. The nice thing about boxing is that the bag will be there when you're pissed and won't call the cops on you. (Unlike your neighbor.)

I weld when I'm pissed. Nothing like melting steel to take your mind off whatever's got you torqued. (You'll only burn yourself once before you stop being pissed and start paying attention.)
 
Ummm...i have this pink ball, that have size of a fist. It's pink, and when i look at it, i see something innocent in it, and then i smack it into the wall, with my whole strenght. It bumps of the wall, i catch it, and WHAM, again. WHAM, WHAM, WHAM, WHAM, WHAM...and then, sudenly, stress and other bad feelings, just disapear.

Really don't know why - maybe hurting something innocent is the thing.

I tried to do everything, other people claimed to be the greatest stress reliever :

Action shooters, screaming, glass of warm water, curse, listening to aggresic/calm music, talking to yourself (that helps a bit).

But none of them, gave me such a relieve as smacking the ball into the wall.
