What do you all do for a living?

I'm a supervisor for a gravel crushing company. I fix broken shit, operate heavy equipment and yell at ppl sometimes. I hate my job more then anything else in the world and would rather chop my balls off with a rusty butter knife then go there every day. That's why maybe sometime this year if I can gather up enough coin ill be going for my commercial helicopter pilot license. Then I will have a job I actually want to go to.

I'm not sure there are too many things worse than waking up everyday knowing you are going to have to go do "work". Careers I can handle, something you like to do and is more than just a means to and end. A job, like you described is something I dread, but with retirement, I may end up having to do...too young to collect S.S. and have way too many years before I can. It is good to see you have a plan though. Helo pilot would be awesome. I applied for it in the Army, then pulled my application as it sat a the selection board; some assclown convinced me being an NCO- Leader- is the ultimate role...what a crock of shit. I don't regret that decision really, as its brought about a lot of good, but sometimes I wonder where I'd be now. Oh well. Pursue your dream and good luck.

That's what I definitely become in my next life....pilot for either FedEx or UPS...after suffering the first years...you bring home a shit load of money, work for a couple of days in a row flying around the world and then get a couple of weeks off...

The longer you wait the harder it is to do.

Like they tell newly weds, build the garage first or you'll never be finished the house to get to it. The bills will trap you.

yeshThats why i just turned down a job at albian sands for a boat load of money because ill have to sign a three year contract and put of the heli school once more. So screw that. You can make 250g a year in BC doing long line logging. And only worl 5 months of the. Year.
