What do y'all think about taking an 11 month old baby camping?

We're thinking of camping on the beach at the end of the summer. We have a large tent, and we'd take the pack-n-play for him. He'll be 11 months at the end of August when we plan on going. What do y'all think? Good idea/bad idea...why?

Why not? I think it'd be fun and he'd enjoy himself. I just wouldn't go for an extended trip, maybe just the weekend.
My parents always took us camping when my brother and I were little, they said they never had issues with us.

Good idea as long as he's a healthy kid and you're a prepared parent and very organized.

I think it's a great idea and that you are much more brave than I am. lol. Just watch out for sun exposure and bug bites. Sand fleas and fire ants are a pain. Ugh! (Depends on where you're going though.) Have Fun!

i think it is doable i think it might be a little hard just being away from home and not having all the stuff he is use to i know with my 10 month old son its hard to even sleep at my mom's house he likes to just sleep home but good look

its fine as long as you keep the baby clear of weird bugs like ticks

I think it would be okay. The only things I'd worry about would be bug bites and sun exposure.

I don't see anything wrong with that at all...I would do it if I had the gear and time off work!
