We filed bankruptcy ch. 7 in July/court in August and then changed our mind about the car and rescinded in Sept. When nobody came to get the car in a month we called the bank and they just said it was up to the repo company as to when they come get it. Then someone on here said they cannot take anything from your private land. My aunt said (back when we first gave it up) they could take it while I was in a store shopping or something like that. Well the car no longer has a plate or insurance. Can they come with a flatbed or a hauler and come get it or can't they? We have never experienced a repo before so we don't know how it works and are those repo stories just horror stories or what? I mean the car is nice and has brand new tires and if we could somehow just keep the car that would be great. How would we ever get the title changed? We also have another large item that was included in the bankruptcy. We called the finance co. 4 or 5 months ago and told them to come and get it but they have not. We got our discharge papers about a week ago. Did not get any letters from any creditor stating what was going to happen, only from the bank the car was through saying that we no longer had to make payments.
