what do people think of toyota Camry's?

im thinking of getting a 1994 toyota camry as my first car
i want somethin that looks good but is a good car
can camry's be done up to look jsut as good as commodores and falcons?
the guys at work think im stupid to get a camry
"get something with a turbo"
toyotas are the most reliable cars on the market

and in my opinion look 10 times better then holdens or fords
 
my dad bought a 95, 96 camery and it hasen't given him any trouble yet. it was second hand.
 
I am a Camry driver and love them. I suck at car maintenance....so the incredible reliability of these cars are a huge plus. My last one got to 280,000 miles.
 
Personally I don’t like the look of Toyota’s. They don’t have the sense of brand identity and their interiors are well known for being ‘rubbish’. But if it is your first car, get a reliable car which has got to be Japanese. Honda’s are fast and very reliable as proven in statistics. They have good after market value too.
