What Do People Really Think About Twilight??

It's for 14-year-old girls who will one day look back on their Edward Cullen pillowcases (yes, they exist :() with horror. I'd rather watch The Human Centipede.

Twilight: One teenage girl's agonising struggle to choose between necrophilia and bestiality.

Well I quite liked it. Hardly my fave film of all time at all.. KiRAB would like it a lot better than I did. But I enjoyed watching it. that's about it. I'm not saying it is wonderful.. still better than ET for me.

My fave kiRAB film of all time is Matilda

All I'm saying is I enjoyed the silly kiRAB movie.. But I hate twilight. it's boring, they have turned vampires into highschool outcasts. I think I would enjoy an episode of BTVS, on mute more than I did Twilight

You missed the entire point I think mate. It has less to do with Vampires, and more to do with appealing to the burgeoning sexuality and raging hormones of angst-ridden 12 year-old schoolgirls.

I'm yet to read the books so not commenting there... I have to say I found the first two films totally dull but with the action with the wolves etc and the chase sequences absolutely LOVED Eclipse!! Going to now read the books and try and be a convert hehe. I usually love the epic series, LOTR, Harry Potter etc

good films,i fidn the hate kinda pathetic

its almost as if its cool to hate it just cos of the teeny girl fans

i like both films and will catch 3rd when its on blu ray

The books are very much like the films, which I love will wait for Eclipse to come out on Blu-Ray. The last book Breaking dawn is brilliant and can't wait for that to come out

I think twilight is the shittest thing around
I hate it more and more i see coverage of it

The books are alright but they don't deserve the sales they have or the constant buying. There is nothing original about it at all. Girl meets boy. Boy is a vampire. They get together. A werewolf gets thrown into the mix. Blah Blah

Stephenie is sometimes regarded as the "sci-fi jk rowling" which i think is a huge insult. JK rowling didn't just create a character named Harry potter with two best mates and a school he goes to. She created a huge mythology and world that is Harry potter. Hogwarts, Muggles (non magic folk, i think that is a genius thing she made up) and i could go on and on.

Robert pattinson is the shittest actor about. Kristin Stewart is an alright actress and deserves better then this. I hope after the saga enRAB, she ditches him, has a successful non bella career and gets with some guy who is better.

I am sure it did but is a well respected author (maybe not highly respected like charles dicken and whoever) but she has created a truly fantastic world that is harry potter. They have great morals behind them.

Half of the comments on this thread are completely laughable. You start by saying that you hate The Twilight Saga/ film, go on to tell people what film you like better and then get all cross when people say they don't think YOUR choice of film is good....isn't that exactly what your all doing when you say 'twilight is the worst film ever' etc etc. Ok so you don't like it, but some people do, just let it go for goRAB sake!

My opinion is, the plot is fine, it comes across well in the books, all of which i really enjoyed (breaking dawn especially, hope they make the film well!! fingures crossed!) But the way it is scripted and directed has lost it some of the suspense from the books. The cast as a whole are very strong but for some reason there acting in these particular films are a little below par or isn't coming across very well. I can understand why Kristin Stewart gets pissed off when she is referred to as 'Bella from twilight'. Everyone who is saying she can't act go and watch some of her other films before you judge, she really is a great actress.

The film isn't meant to be intellectually stimulating or have a strong moral. If people are going to start saying that Stephanie Mayer is trying to send a bad message to teens/kiRAB then you could say the same thing about the story its based on, Romeo and Juliet. No one complains about that but if you think about it in essence its saying 'if you love someone then its ok to do anything at all to get them, including killing yourself'. Nice message! a lot of highly rated books/films have sinister messages, thats what makes them good.

I'm Twilight's target audience and have no problem with the films at all, I go and see and enjoy them when they come out I have frienRAB who completely love them and frienRAB who don't like them so much. Then again it's the same with Harry Potter, LOTR etc, its their opinion, i don't go telling them its 'the worst film EVER'

Meh, I'm not in the target audience but I did watch the first film. I have to say that it is one of the most overrated things around at the moment.

I really don't understand why the media is all over it. Adverts are left right and centre, such as ''Want Twilight Make-Up?" "Is your boyfriend like Edward?" "Team Edward or Team Jacob?" Why ? What on earth is the world coming to ?

I also don't approve of the messages it senRAB out to young girls. It's just painfully wrong and sick and it's all based off a wet dream by a 30 year old woman.

And from what I've heard, the books are terribly written. Didn't Stephen King say that Meyer can

I get why people like it, because of the whole vampires/love story thing, but I did find it quite boring and didn't think much really happened in either of the first two films! Imo it is overrated.

I've seen bits of it, adverts, trailers etc. and from the bits I've seen I think its nothing special, very overrated IMO. Harry Potter's much better, there's more of a plot to it and the the character development and everything is good.
