What do people in England think of Taybarns? Or the buffet restaurant model in general?

After reading your post, I wouldn't go to - what was the name again? Oh yes, Taybarns - if you paid me. If you're reduced to having to advertise on Yahoo answers, what other depths are you prepared to sink to?

I have some friends in Coventry who go to the Taybarns location in the Cross Point Business Park quite frequently; they seem to like it a lot. Apparently it's also quite affordable.

What do other people in England think of Taybarns, or of the buffet-style restaurant model in general?

Do you think it will make people fatter? The US has a lot of buffet-style restaurants, and those places tend to be packed with fat folks.

On the other hand, £7.99 for a full buffet meal with a carvery, grill, dessert, rotisserie, etc. certainly sounds like a very good deal!

Does Taybarns represent a growing trend within the English restaurant scene, or is it a temporary thing?

dont think they are common as im about 35 mile from coventry and have never heard of them. Wehave a chinese resturant that does a buffet at weekends thats about all Probably a local trend rather than a national one. See if they are still going next year

Never heard of them down south, seems to be plenty up north though. We have several 'carvery' style restaurant chains so it's a crowded market..
