im going traveling around india and south-east asia for a couple of months, and im not sure what i should buy, either a suitcase or a backback?
what would be better suited for globe trekking?

It depends on if you're doing hiking or what... if you're just flying everywhere then a suitcase should be fine but if you're going to have to carry your stuff i would suggest a backpack

backpack.
since your going to undeveloped countries. your going to be walking around on some pretty un-even roads or pathways

nothing is worse then trying to wheel around your big honking suitcase over cobblestone

Everybody go with backpacks. Don't even consider a suitcase. If you're not planning to stay at 5 stars all the time and do some really luxury travelling, it is nearly impossible to go around with a suitcase. Get yourself a comfortable backpack, something you can lock-if you can. And keep your bag as light as possible.
Need anything? Just write..
I was in southeast asia last winter and will go to India and Nepal for the second time this winter...
