I am from the south and made pork filet, spinach salad, and black eyed pea salad. My Swedish husband asked what 'northerners' eat. I had to confess I did not know. Is there a traditional new year's day menu? Is it a friends or family day? Where I come from, it's friends on New Year's Eve and family on New Year's day. I love hearing about other people's traditions.
