I need to know what I can tell an ER doc to do an MRI of my head, better yet my whole body, I have IC and am prone to get diseases and something is wrong, I cant afford copays because im on disability so any info would help, I have left shoulder blade pain, hurting and tingling feelings in my head, confusion, unbalance, black stool, maybe some ulcers due to IC. please help

I can't say for certain but i would think it would be rather unlikely to get an MRI in an ER without a head injury. ER is not the place for that. Have you tried your local health dept?

Well I went to the ER and they said I have sciatica in my hips and legs, which adds to the IC pain, and I need to set up an appt with a neurologist or a rhuematologist to check for fibromyalga or however it is spelled, I am almost positive I have it, its an auto immune disease and my IC is as well so I suppose I am more likely to get more, my sister has this disease as well, anyone have any idea on what doc I need to see to look into this, I am on disability and like to skip the reg doc offices because they

take my 20 dollar copay and send me to a specialist who will take another 40 dollars, any idea as well why I have such high copays for doc visits when I am on disability and get SSI checks and can barely live?

I would go to a neurologist. "My guy," not only treats patients who suffer from migraines and epilepsy (I'm a recent epi. gal) but neuros. also treat those who have problems with their spine. So if you have sciatica or fibro, a neurologist should be able to help.

Actually, one of the meds I used to take for my partial seizures (Lyrica) is also used for people who have fibromyalgia! (i can't spell that either ;) )

Best of luck to you!
