What do i take at university?

Hey, basically i'm 15 and i want to become a doctor, I know its a lot of training and very difficult but im sure i can work through it.
I know what A-levels to take and what results i need.
I know then that i need to go to university and take a degree, but i don't know what in? What degree should i take to help me get into medical school?
Also how much longer is the training after the 4 years of uni, and 4 years of med school?
Also if i have got any of the above wrong please say so :).

please only give answers relivant to the UK system.

well it depends what kind of "doctor" you want to be? family doctor/pediatrician? my friend is learning to be a radiologist, he says it's one of the best type's of medical professions to go to. word of warning tho, as much as you want to be a doctor, doctors give up not only their youth, but their family and social life as well. is money really worth the time you have in one life?
